I’ve been hard at work on Scoundrel Solitaire over the last month, preparing the game for Apple’s new iPhone Duo. Today, version 1.2.1 is available, bringing full support for the new device, along with a few other improvements for everyone!
The first sign of this effort appeared a couple of weeks ago with version 1.2.0, which introduced landscape support on iPhone for the first time. Making that happen required rethinking how the game lays out its views. Rather than relying on a fixed layout, Scoundrel Solitaire now dynamically rearranges the cards based on the space available.
That change has benefits beyond the iPhone, too. On iPad and Mac, the game now makes much better use of the available screen space and adapts more gracefully as you resize its window.
Version 1.2.1 builds on that foundation with full support for all the different poses of the iPhone Duo. Whether you’re playing with the device folded, unfolded, or somewhere in between, the game automatically adjusts its layout and orientation to make the most of the screen and keep things comfortable.

And there’s one more addition: themes!
You can now choose between three different card designs: Original, Sketch, and Pixelated. Whether you prefer the classic look, something a little more hand-drawn, or some retro pixel art, you can switch things up whenever you’d like.

I’m really happy with how these updates turned out. What started as an effort to support one new device ended up making the game more flexible and enjoyable across the entire Apple ecosystem.
Scoundrel Solitaire 1.2.1 is available now on the App Store. If you haven’t tried it yet, give it a shot!
