Wrist Pipe 2.0 Reception

What a big week! After several months of work, Wrist Pipe 2.0 finally shipped! The reception has been beyond anything I could have expected.

Jonathan Reed of MacStories included the Wrist Pipe 2.0 update in his comprehensive review of watchOS 11. He even included a screenshot in the cover image of his review!

“In the latest update, developer David Freeman has added the ability to play the selected pitch with Double Tap. I imagine this would be perfect for times when your opposite hand is busy holding an instrument.”

The surge in downloads that came from the article, as well as some kind words shared in the online barbershop community, pushed Wrist Pipe into the top 10 paid music apps on the App Store! It’s a dream come true to see an app I made alongside some of the incredible music utilities that I have been using for years such as TE Tuner and forScore.

I have already received so many new theme requests that I’ve created a dedicated section on the Wrist Pipe support page for people to submit them. I’ll try to add as many themes as I can, within reason. I am already hard at work on the first patch update to Wrist Pipe 2.0 that will add several of the requested themes and address a few small bugs.

I am so happy my app has been a valuable utility for so many people. To wrap up, I’ll share a few of the kind messages I’ve received this week. ❤️

How am I just learning about this today?! This is going to be a life saver!!!!
