In October of 2023 my company sponsored the Ad Astra Technology Summit, where Steve Wozniak was the keynote speaker. I live-tooted my day of volunteering, attending sessions, running a vintage computer arcade, and meeting Woz!
I knew leading up to the event that I wanted to bring something for Woz to sign. While I had several older Apple computers that I could’ve chosen to bring, I wanted it to be something more unique. Something he hasn’t already signed hundreds of in his life. What I settled on was a Cap’n Crunch Bo’sun Whistle – a callback to his early days as a “phone phreak”.
Steve Wozniak has been a life-long hero of mine. His story is what inspired me to pursue a degree in electrical engineering. Getting a chance to see and talk with him was a dream come true!
