Appearances

Podcasts

In 2017, I responded to a post by James van der Moezel on the Apple subreddit looking for cohosts to join him in making an Apple-focused podcast. That chance encounter resulted in a podcast that ran for five and a half years and hosted several influential guests. The Blue Bubble Podcast was retired in June of 2023.

In The News

CNN’s “Headline News” wrote an article about my watch collection after a post sharing my collection made it to the front page of Reddit. The Headline News brand was retired years ago and the article was taken down with it, but you can still find it archived on the Wayback Machine.

In 2023, I won a contest hosted by SellCell and was named the “World’s Ultimate Apple Superfan“. The contest consisted of timed trivia, an essay, and an interview. The results of the contest ended up getting picked up by several publications. Some of them less friendly than others. I wrote more about that experience here.

Jonathan Reed of MacStories included my Wrist Pipe 2.0 update in his comprehensive review of watchOS 11.

Wrist Pipe was mentioned in an article on 9to5Mac for participating in the 2024 Indie Charity Weekend.

Television

It’s impossible to grow up in Kansas City without developing a love for barbecue. I enjoyed barbecue so much that I got a job working at Papa Bob’s in high school just for the free food! While working there, I appeared in an episode of Man vs. Food.

Singing Competitions

I am a third-generation member of the Barbershop Harmony Society. During my tenure I’ve had the opportunity to sing with several talented groups on both the district and international competitive stages. These groups include the Cody Choraliers, Not For Nothing, Central Standard, and The Brovertones.

YouTube

My friends and I have made several YouTube channels over the years. None of them have been particularly popular, but making videos has been a fun hobby.
